Getting around Lagos

About these figures

The six tiers from the travel dialog, read in our own sessions: observed fares (they scale with distance and rush hour), how long a trip takes, and what each one really costs — walking pays with Energy and Hygiene instead of Naira.

Fares and needs costs were read in our own logged-in sessions. Each fare is one observed sample with its route — the game prices by distance, adds a rush-hour mark-up, and governor decrees can move the whole table. Danfo, Okada and Cab needs costs have not been timed yet; paid rides measured so far (Keke, Daddy's Prado) drain nothing.

FAQ

Why do Lagos Life transport fares change?

Three dials move them: distance (Lagos Island runs cost less than an Island↔Lekki haul), a rush-hour mark-up the dialog flags with "Rush hour: Cab fares are up", and governor decrees that can rescale the whole table overnight (we watched fares move ₦750→₦450 in two days). The figures above are calibrated samples, not a fixed price list — if your dialog shows different numbers, the game is right.

Is walking (Trek) actually free in Lagos Life?

In Naira, yes. In needs, no: paired before/after reads put a cross-town Trek at about −18 Energy and −14 Hygiene per trip, while paid rides cost zero needs (measured on Keke and Daddy's Prado). Paying ₦200 for a Keke is really buying back the sweat.

What is Daddy's Prado and why is it cheaper than a Keke?

It's the family SUV option in the same travel dialog — observed at ₦50–150 on runs where a Keke wanted ₦200–300, at roughly half the travel time (~15s), with zero needs drain and a moodlet bonus (Big Boy Ride +15, AC Ride +8). If it's on your dialog, it's the best deal on the board, not a status purchase.
